Module 3: Tech Prep in Illinois
Overview
Illinois is one of the leading states in Tech Prep implementation. There are 41 Tech Prep consortia in Illinois and all receive financial support from both the federal and state grants. In this module, we look at the key policies and definitions at the state level that guide Tech Prep, including the state definition of Tech Prep and Tech Prep students, criteria for Tech Prep completers, Tech Prep sequences of courses, and criteria for Tech Prep occupations. The essential and supporting elements of Illinois Tech Prep will be also described.
