Introduction to Tech Prep

self-directed learning program
Module 1: Why Tech Prep?
Overview
Changing conditions in schools and community colleges, along with
the growing demand for a highly skilled workforce, provided impetus
for educational reforms leading to more meaningful educational
experiences for all students. Tech Prep grew out of school
improvement initiatives that began in the early 1980s with the
publication of Dale Parnell's book, "The Neglected Majority."
This module will provide information about the theoretical foundation
for Tech Prep and some important facts related to its evolution.
