Introduction
The Illinois Community College Board (ICCB) Nursing Programs of Study (POS) Demonstration Projects evaluation is designed to focus on the success and barriers of implementation of the Nursing POS model development process using a regional, sector-based approach. To the extent possible, the evaluation also seeks to understand how the Pathway Development Team model will work as a strategy for rolling out future POS. This one-year evaluation will document the POS model development process of two regional demonstration projects as they develop the Therapeutic Services Pathway model for the state of Illinois. Determining the effectiveness of a regional, sector-based POS model development approach will further aid the state and OCCRL in determining criteria for evaluating POS implementation and contribute to understanding the capacity of regions to develop and implement POS.
